Preserving the environment is a significant priority for Groupe Germain. The design team of Hôtel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square took great care to incorporate eco-energetic features in an attempt to minimize the hotel's environmental impact.

Low-E windows provide maximum light with minimum heat loss
Heat recovery from air exhaust and commercial washers
High quality air-filtration system that removes any pollutants at the point of intake
Domestic hot water heating from HVAC heat rejection
In-room thermostats that are interfaced with the central control system to reduce requirements in vacant rooms
Central room-key lighting control and energy-saving light fixtures
Operable windows in all guest rooms, to allow fresh air
Dual-flush toilets (3L/6L per flush) in all guest rooms

Conservation Policies

Hôtel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square is a smoke-free environment
Every effort is made to use products that can be reused, recharged or recycled
Recycling bins are placed in all guest rooms and public areas
All hotel laundry bags are reusable
Surplus hotel supplies are distributed to local charities during the holiday season
To the extent that is possible, the hotel makes all purchases from local suppliers
